Over the past few years we have been doing extensive renovations on our guest rooms, ensuring we are offering that Chobe Game Lodge lives up to its reputation as the primary luxury safari in the Chobe National Park. The final faze of the room renovations is now complete with the introduction of our new triple rooms.
We created the new room category by merging two existing standard rooms into one. This was done by breaking through the wall between the two rooms and adding an archway between them to create a spacious triple room layout. The merging of these rooms has resulted in the downsizing of the total number of rooms at the lodge to 44 in total.
The rooms have only just been completed so we don’t yet have high resolution images but James Wilson, our marketing director took a few pictures with his mobile to give you an idea of what the new rooms are all about.
The new rooms are ideal for friends and families travelling together. The big plus is the extra large private terrace and the location high up in the lodge building amongst the trees with lovely views over the Chobe River.
The beautifully decorated triples comprise of a twin/double bed that leads through to a lounge opening up onto the large private terrace. There is one bathroom in the lounge (consisting of a toilet, basin & walk-in shower) and one bathroom in the main bedroom with a toilet, walk-in shower, double basin and freestanding bath. There is a single bed in the lounge to accommodate the third guest. The rooms are not recommended for children under the age of 6-years old due to safety regulations of the terrace drop.
TOP TIP: Keen birders will love the incredible birdlife of the bird-plum tree surrounding the terraces of the triple rooms in the green season (November – March) including the rare Schalows Turaco nesting extremely close by.
