In the midst of negative news surrounding COVID-19 that floods our screens and devices, we are THRILLED to bring you some very positive news!

We have won our third award at WTM Africa’s Responsible Tourism Awards. This year Chobe Game Lodge won silver in responsible Business for our work in reducing carbon emissions and shaping the industry with our electric fleet of safari vehicles and boats, as well as our work in breaking the mold in guiding through Africa’s first all-female guiding team.

The focus for this year’s awards was on previous winners showing the developments in their initiatives and showcasing the replicability of the projects. This was aimed to both recognizing those who have continued on in their Responsible Tourism efforts, as well encourage those who are looking to or in the process of adopting more responsible measures of operation and initiatives.

This is our third award from WTM Africa’s Responsible Tourism Award in 5 years. We are so proud to once again shine a spotlight on the need to enhance our sustainable practices in the tourism industry, as well as to bring to focus the need for female empowerment. Through both of these initiatives, as well as many others that we run at the lodge, we aim to set an example for the industry to follow.

Through dedication from our incredible staff and the support of all of our guests, we strive to be one of Africa’s most responsible and sustainable safari lodges. Thank you for your support.Read more about the awards and the winners on the WTM Africa website
